FAQs ABOUT KEYTRUDA

How does KEYTRUDA work?

KEYTRUDA is not chemotherapy or radiation therapy—it is an immunotherapy and it works with your immune system to help fight cancer. Immunotherapies such as KEYTRUDA may stop cancer cells from hiding. KEYTRUDA may enable T cells to find and attack cancer cells. This helps your immune system do what it’s designed to do: detect and fight cancer.

KEYTRUDA can cause your immune system to attack normal organs and tissues in any area of your body and can affect the way they work. These problems can sometimes become severe or life-threatening and can lead to death. These problems may happen anytime during treatment or even after your treatment has ended. These tests can measure your tumor for different biomarkers, including a biomarker called PD-L1. Biomarker tests may be used to help predict your response to certain treatments, such as KEYTRUDA.
